What is Yoga?

Sutra 1.2 YOGAS CITTA VRTTI NIRODHAH

“The restraint of the modifications of the mind-stuff is Yoga.”

The entire science of Yoga is based on this. Patanjali has given the definition and at the same time the practice. “If you can control the rising of the mind into ripples, you will experience Yoga.”

Yoga is Discovery.

You have committed to embark upon a course that will continue to unfold for the rest of your life.  You are on a journey. Be open to uncovering your inner workings as you continue to grow who you are. Deepen your relationship with existence.

Yoga is Self.

When facilitating this self-discovery process you learn how to identify the internal sensations and feelings without reference of thought. Without judgment or attachment, you get to know who you are, what you want, and you open yourself up to amazing acceptance and change.  You come home to yourself and you remember; You are pure potential, You are unstoppable magic.  Once you awaken, you can not go back.

Yoga is an Experience.

You create the experience you want.  How you participate will allow for growth and integration.  You get to choose, you get to be the master of your fate.

Yoga is Practice.

Show up and get on the magic carpet - your yoga mat. Use the tools and find what works for you. The body is the bow, asana is the arrow and union of spirit-body-mind is the target.

Yoga is Natural.

It helps you remember how to balance all the elements; to flow like water, to inspire like fire, to nurture like earth, and to create like air.

Yoga is the key

To unlock the best you.

This is Yoga.
