WHAT IS ENERGY HEALING?

Energy is all around us and inside of us. You might say you are energy, as are plants and animals here on earth. We use certain forms of energy such as electricity to power our machines and toys, even to jump start a heart that has stopped beating.
In fact, without an electrical impulse your heart wouldn’t be pumping right now. We are energetic human beings.
We can all feel energy. You can feel heat & cold. Most of us, but not all, can “feel” energy by placing our hands about 4 to 6 inches from each other with palms facing towards each other and pressing lightly toward one another. There is a slight feeling of pressure; this is you feeling your own energy.
WHY DO YOU WANT MORE ENERGY OR TO EXPERIENCE ENERGY AS A HEALING MODALITY?
Energy is the universal life force.
“In physics, energy is a property of objects which can be transferred to other objects or converted into different forms. The "ability of a system to perform work" is a common description, but it is difficult to give one single comprehensive definition of energy because of its many forms” - Webster’s Dictionary
There are are different energy modalities of energy healing.
A common one is called Reiki.
Reiki and other systems rely on the Universal energy to work on the physical, emotional, and ethereal body all at the same time. Wherever your body needs adjusting/healing the most, that’s where it goes. I like to describe it as Mr. Myagi from the Karate Kid, he said “Daniel-sun, come,” as he rubbed his hands together and held them over Daniels injuries - and TA DAAA he was healed!
Sorta like that.
As a client you book your session with a Reiki practitioner, lay on table fully clothed and you don't have to do a thing. It feels good, it is relaxing and it heals all at the same time. What could be better than that? You do not have meditate on it, think about it, nothing - just lay back and enjoy. That is what you get in a Reiki Session or Appointment. You don’t even have to be touched.
A reiki practitioner is an Energy worker that has been attuned to the energy twice or more times. A very simple way to explain it is to pretend we are are televisions: Some of us may have 50,000 channels and some of us have 50. Once you have 5,000 you can never go back to only 50 channels yet keeping them all on is another task.
An energy worker is the conduit for the energy to come to you. It is similar to having a cord to an electrical appliance. The cord gets plugged into the wall socket, the energy is tapped into and the appliance works. Your energy worker is the cord and you are the appliance. Just as the appliance is prewired to receive the energy, so are you.
This system is great for those in chronic pain or those needing relaxation at its best
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Relaxation is one of the most underestimated pieces of health. The key to finding ultimate health is through allowing the body to work its magic. We are electric beings and need to recharge. Having an energy healing may be the miracle you need to assist in training the body to surrender to its own natural ability to heal.
Reiki practitioners, like yoga teachers, are not all the same.
There are certifications of Reiki, Reiki 1, Reiki 2, Reiki 3 and Master Usui Reiki and then you can become Karuna Reiki Attuned.
