Stella Tryon. Doula and Yoga & Meditation Teacher
My training comes mostly from experience. As a young mother 28 years ago, I didn't have a computer in my hand, and I felt duped by the birthing industry. My girlfriend who was an MD and an ayurvedic practitioner asked me to be her doula, so I went to DONA international and took a course and supported her have her homebirth. That was in 2010. Since then, I have attended a variety of births from a planned cesarean to a home birth with lotus placenta and siblings present. I have always worked by referral only and in 2024 I asked myself how I could best serve the most people. I heard a voice loud and clear. You're a doula. So here I am, going public.
I have extensive knowledge in meditation and relaxation techniques, I studied with a monk for Thai yoga massage, I love herbs and tinctures and have a deep understanding of ayurveda and Traditional Chinese medicine
My practical, down-to-earth approach allows me to support families in a way that feels both tender and strong, I create a space where mothers can surrender to trust their bodies and birth as the transformational sacred experience that it is.
The way we can best work together is communication. We will talk. I will help you investigate and explain things so that you are comfortable with the way things may unfold.
In my 20's I had three children in 3 years, went to college, was attuned as a Reiki Master and learned to meditate with a Buddhist monk, In my 30s I started teaching yoga, opened a yoga studio, became a realtor and a doula. In My 40's I closed my studio, started traveling and deep diving into spiritual work
I believe in the deep wisdom that each woman carries within her, especially when she is with child. I believe it is your right to choose and create the birth story that empowers you to feel good in your decision-making process.
My goal is to guide you in trusting your inner guidance and to create a nurturing space ensuring you feel confident, supported and truly heard on your journey
I value clear and transparent communication.
The more we get to know each other, the better I can do my job supporting you when you're feeling wobbly.
You can tell me anything without fear of judgement.
I believe we are all on our own souls' journey and it is perfectly imperfect just the way it is.
I believe that knowing and trusting your body is the key to your success.
With radical acceptance and love for what is, what is, will become what you love.
Having a mindfulness/ prayer/meditation practice and an exercise practice is going to be the anchor to you feeling your best. I feel happy to support this in anyway, I can provide some prenatal yoga/workouts/meditation and/or helping you discover what works best for you. I believe in being supported as much as possible and invite you to include: a pelvic floor specialist, chiropractor for you (and baby), using acupuncture and massage as preparation measures to ensure the best possible experience for your mind and body.

“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth..”
